Beyoncé has written an essay in Vogue in which she tells about the heavy pregnancy and delivery of her twins Rumi and Sir.
For the September edition of the fashion magazine, in which the 36-year-old singer had control over both the photo shoot and the content, she wrote an essay. In this, Beyoncé also reveals details about her most recent pregnancy.
I weighed 218 pounds (99 kilos) when I gave birth to Rumi and Sir, “said the singer.” I held back with my pregnancy poisoning and had to rest for more than a month. “
The health condition of the singer had deteriorated to such an extent that her own life and that of her unborn children was in danger. “That’s why I had to undergo an emergency Cesar cut and spent a lot of weeks in the NICU (the department in the hospital where care is given to newborns, ed.).”
Singer saw body change after pregnancy
The caesarean was drastic. “My body felt different,” says Beyoncé. “Some organs have to be moved and in some cases even temporarily removed, I needed time to recover from them.”
During this time the singer spent a lot of time on herself. “I embraced the fact that I had become a bit rounder. (…) My arms, shoulders, breasts and thighs are still fuller, I have a little” mama-belly “and I’m not in a hurry to get rid of it. . ”
Sir and Rumi, born on June 13, 2017, are the second and third child for the singer and rapper Jay-Z. The couple has long been the parents of daughter Blue Ivy (5).
