Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande have raised 3.5 million dollars (almost 3 million euros) for charity with their single Stuck With U, released last year . The pop stars donate the amount to the American organization First Responders Children’s Foundation, for families of healthcare workers who are struggling due to the corona pandemic.
The Canadian singer and American singer released the duet in May last year, when much of the world was in lockdown due to the corona pandemic. They already announced at the time that they would donate the proceeds of the song to this charity.
First Responders Children’s Foundation announced in a statement to American media on Thursday that the amount will be used to pay for grants for families of health care workers, among others.
“The generosity and support that Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and their manager Scooter Braun have shown to the men and women on the front lines of this pandemic has been a surreal and humbling experience for us,” the organization’s president said.
Stuck With U became a number 1 hit in the United States. It also reached the top ten of the charts in the Netherlands.
