At the commemoration concert for Aretha Franklin, which will take place next Thursday, more than twenty artists will perform.

Franklin died at the age of 76 last week. On Tuesday and Wednesday the public can say goodbye to her. The singer is then laid out in the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.
The concert will take place on Thursday, a day before the funeral of Franklin, at the Chene Park Amphitheater in Detroit. All artists participate on a voluntary basis.
The ‘Queen of Soul’ will be buried next week at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit, where also her brother, sisters, cousin and father are buried. The funeral takes place in a closed circle.
Among others Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan and Jennifer Hudson perform during the funeral. During the funeral on August 31, according to local newspaper Detroit Free Press , attention is also paid to the gospel background of the soul singer, the daughter of a pastor.
Aretha Franklin died on 16 August from the effects of pancreatic cancer.
