The 33-year old Janice Freeman, candidate in the 13th season of the American version of The Voice, has died of the consequences of a blood clot. This has confirmed her manager to TMZ. Janice was in the team of Miley Cyrus in 2017 and eventually managed to get through to the last 11 candidates.

“It was a blessing to hear her voice, she was an inspiration to everyone”

Miley paid tribute to Janice via her Instagram Story with a photo in which a rainbow breaks through. She thanked Janice for everything and wrote that this photo represents her well. Jennifer Hudson, also coach at The Voice, also commemorated Janice on Instagram. “It was a blessing to hear her voice, she was an inspiration to everyone, my prayers go out to her daughter and family.”

According to Janice’s manager, the singer suffered from severe pneumonia and eventually the blood clot ended up in her heart. Husband Dion tried to resuscitate his wife until the ambulance appeared to take her to the hospital. Unfortunately it did not work, Janice died last Saturday.

Janice leaves her husband Dion and their daughter behind.
