Amber Heard’s lawyers, 35, claimed on Tuesday that her ex Johnny Depp (58) “sexually abused her” when the actress blacked out because she was drunk. The incident is said to have taken place at the end of their turbulent marriage.
“Amber threw a vodka bottle at him, which cut his finger”
Johnny’s lawyers call Amber’s allegations “deeply disturbing.” The actress would like to make herself a victim of domestic violence, but is actually the perpetrator, the actor’s lawyers claim. “The only medical report that mentions an injury is Johnny sustained after a brief argument in Australia. Amber threw a vodka bottle at him, which cut his finger.”
Amber and Johnny, who were married from 2015 to 2017, meet in Virginia court. Johnny has sued his ex for libel over an article she wrote in 2018 in The Washington Post about domestic violence she says she experienced. Amber does not mention Johnny’s name in the message, but according to the actor it is obvious that she means him. The actress previously accused him of having loose hands, something he denies.
Last year, the two also faced each other in court in London. The actor then lost a case against British tabloid The Sun over an article calling him a “wife-beater.” The judge ruled that there was no libel because he felt that there was insufficient evidence that the actor had not mistreated his ex. Amber was brought in as a witness by The Sun and told her story in court about her alleged abusive ex-husband. In that case, Amber never cited stories of sexual abuse.
