Alec Baldwin (64) continues to insist that he did not pull the trigger on the weapon that camerawoman Halyna Hutchins was shot with. The actor tells this in the podcast ‘The Chris Cuomo Project’. “It shot on its own,” Alec said.
“The man in charge of the film set safety stated that the gun was safe”
According to Alec, the only question is who put bullets in the gun. “The man in charge of the security of the film set stated that the gun was safe when he handed it to me,” he says in the podcast.
The FBI concluded on Saturday that Alec “certainly” pulled the trigger of the gun on the set of Rust . In October, the actor accidentally shot camerawoman Halyna Hutchins on the set of the western Rust . He was rehearsing with a weapon that wasn’t supposed to be loaded, but it was. Halyna, 42, died in the incident. The director of the film was also injured. Police in New Mexico, where the incident took place, are still investigating the matter.
The FBI examined the weapon and concluded that it could indeed not go off without someone manually pulling the trigger. It is unknown whether the interview with Alec was included in the podcast before or after the FBI’s report.
