The highly popular talk show hosted by Dr. Phil McGraw, ranked as the second highest-rated, will conclude its run in 2023.
For 20 years, Dr. Phil McGraw has been a prominent figure in daytime television with his show “Dr. Phil.” After 21 successful seasons, the program will come to a close in 2023. The show’s success can be attributed to Oprah Winfrey who served as a co-creator.

Dr. Phil McGraw expressed the reasoning behind his decision in a statement sent to various media outlets. He stated, “I have been fortunate to have had 25 amazing years in daytime TV. Through the show, we have assisted countless guests and impacted the lives of millions of viewers, covering a range of topics such as addiction, marriage, mental health, and parenting.”
“This has been an incredible chapter of my life and career, but while I’m moving on from daytime, there is so much more I wish to do”, he stated.
Even though the show is coming to a close, fans need not worry as they will still be able to see Dr. Phil on air. He stated, “I feel a strong urge to reach a wider audience as I have serious concerns about the state of the American family and I am resolute in my mission to bring back a sense of direction and to reinforce our core values.”
