“My friends, I’m so proud to share with you the trailer for this movie. It was a complex process, a long-term quest, driven by love and perseverance. I learned more about this film than ever before. I am grateful to Mars Films for their faith in me, and in this project. Their support since the first day was unfailing; their passion, unchanged, despite the wait. My life with John F. Donovansortira in France on March 13th. Unfortunately, I do not know when he will go out to other countries. I’m not in charge, by the way, nor have I ever been and will never be, to decide when he will come out. Just as I was not in charge of deciding when it would be appropriate to reveal this trailer. Know that my only desire since the beginning of this adventure has always been to share everything with you. Do not hide anything. The moment has come to let go of this film, to part with it. He’s yours. I hope he finds you, and brings you a form of joy and hope. “
Launched at the Toronto Film Festival last year, John F. Donovan’s The Death and Life , which features an awesome cast including Kit Harington, Jacob Tremblay, Natalie Portman, Susan Sarandon, Kathy Bates and many others, been the target of very severe criticism. No agreement with an American distributor has yet been concluded to date.
