R. Kelly (55) has asked the judge in Chicago not to allow people who have seen the documentary ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ to sit on the jury. That reports entertainment website ‘TMZ’, which has seen court documents.
In the 2019 documentary, victims of R. Kelly talk about the abuse they have experienced. According to the rapper’s lawyers, anyone who has seen this film and is called to the jury is “biased and cannot be impartial.”
The singer has been charged in the American city with, among other things, producing child pornography and seducing minors into sexual acts. The trial will start on Monday.
