Samsung’s next high-end smartphone will be introduced on February 25, but many of the features are already known. Review of what is already known about the next Korean flagship.
Not surprisingly, the Samsung Galaxy S9 should be among the stars of the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, which will be held from Monday, February 26 to Thursday, March 1. If the smartphone should not mark a revolution against the S8 and S8 + ( our test ), it still seems to scare competing brands, visibly reluctant to present their high-end devices at the same time.
The Korean giant has been trying to keep the secret, but the vast majority of the information about smarpthone has leaked. So we decided to compile them by addressing the flagship on its design, hardware and camera.
The design and the screen
It is the facetious Evan Blass (blogger and journalist at VentureBeat ) who recently unveiled the clichés of the famous smartphone. As you can see, the Galaxy S9 and S9 + are far from offering a complete overhaul of design compared to their predecessors.
There is a 5.8-inch Infinity Display for the S9, and 6.2 inches for the S9 +. The curved AMOLED panel in 18.5: 9 format will display a Quad HD + definition (2960 x 1440 pixels), which will always be possible to switch to Full HD + in order to gain autonomy.
The final assembly should always be made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass on both sides and a metal surround promising a nice finish. We always see the presence of a button for the ignition, for the volume, but also for the assistant Bixby. The connection is simplistic with a Type-C USB port on the lower edge and a jack on the top. The speakers signed AKG have changed design and the set is obviously certified IP68. It is possible that the latter allows to insert two SIM cards, but this is not yet confirmed.
The fingerprint sensor will be this time below the photo sensor and not next to it (always on the back side). A defect that many users had already pointed out on the Galaxy S8. So that’s good news.
