Jackie Chan had to reassure his fans after reports published on the Internet that he had been infected with the coronavirus.
The actor decided to talk about the rumors so that his followers knew that he is well and not in quarantine as some media pointed out.
Chan posted a statement on his official website to deny these rumors, and said he was “very healthy and safe.”
“Recently, my team told me about the news circulating around the world, saying that COVID-19 put me in quarantine. First, I would like to take the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ for everyone’s concern. I am very healthy and safe and I was not quarantined. I received many messages from friends asking if I was okay. Your love and concern are very touching. Thank you! ”He said.
In his statement, Chan also thanked fans around the world for sending gifts, including mouth covers:
“I also received very special gifts from fans around the world during this difficult period. Thanks for the face masks. Your consideration is welcome! And I asked my lovely team to donate their kindness through official organizations who need it most, ”he said.
