Kanye West and her Sunday Service choir surprised inmates at a Houston, Texas prison with several intimate performances on Friday.
E! News learned that the rapper had brought the spiritual experience to Harris County Jail and had performed twice for the male and female population of the institution. About 100 members of the choir accompanied West for each one-hour ensemble. We were told that the hip-hop star’s team contacted the Harris County Sheriff’s Department a few days ago to coordinate the special event.
You can watch the performance video below, which shows the detainees moved while Kanye rapped for them.

On Sunday, Kanye and the choir will play alongside televangelist Joel Osteen during his Lakewood religious services. A representative of the mega-church told Houston Chronicle Osteen will also interview West about his new belief.
“Kanye and Joel are friends, he wanted to go out for a while and it worked for this weekend,” said Donald Iloff.
Jason Spencer, the public affairs director for the sheriff’s office, tweeted pictures of inmates who appeared to be in the midst of religious worship during the performance.
