After the news of the discord between Disney and Sony Studios, Spider-Man fans raised panic. Some were afraid that the character would forever leave the Marvel cinematic universe, others suggested that Tom Holland would refuse to continue to play the role of Peter Parker. This weekend, during the D23 Expo 2019, the 23-year-old actor, along with Kevin Feigi, commented on the situation.
Since while the studio management is in no hurry to either end the conflict or clarify, fans were waiting for official comments from Tom Holland and Marvel head Kevin Feigi. In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, they finally broke the silence.
We made five great films. These were five amazing years – the best time in my life. Who knows what will happen in the future? All that I know for sure is that I will continue to play Spider-Man and enjoy the moment. No matter which way we go, it will be great. The future of Peter Parker will be different, but still amazing and exciting, and we will find a way to make it even better,
Holland promised.
Feigi supported the actor in this opinion, but noticed that sooner or later everything ends:
I feel gratitude and joy for this project. We had to make five films with Spider-Man. It seemed a pipe dream, and it could not last forever. We managed to tell the story we wanted to tell, and for this I will always be grateful.
It is still unknown when the development of the third solo album of Spider-Man will begin, as the director of the first two parts, John Watts, left his post.
