Harvey Weinstein is said to have settled with accusers, the former board of The Weinstein Company and the Attorney General in New York. The Wall Street Journal reports that.
It would amount to 44 million dollars (39 million euros), 30 million of which go to victims, former employees and their lawyers. The remaining 14 million is used to pay the legal costs for the former board members of The Weinstein Company.
The deal would have been made to stop a case from the Attorney General, accusing Weinstein and his former board colleague of creating a dangerous work situation for their staff.
Harvey Weinstein is accused by dozens of women of sexual misconduct ranging from sexual harassment to rape. The 67-year-old former film producer denies in all cases that it was about forced sex.
