Sony multiplies films around the Weaver.
The universe around Spider-Man is spreading. The Hollywood Reporter understands that Sony is actively working on Morbius, which would be a new spin-off of Monte-en-l’air after Venom(directed by Ruben Fleischer and Tom Hardy in the leading role) and Silver Sable and Black Cat(directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood).
Morbius is a character appeared in Spider-Man number 101 in 1971, under the pen of Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. Suffering from an incurable blood disease, this chemist tries to heal himself but only succeeds in turning into a vampire.
The film was written in the biggest secret by Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama, the duo behind Dracula Untold and Power Rangers . We do not know yet how much Morbius will be linked to Spider-Man but this is the first time this antagonist will appear on the big screen.
