Jennifer Lawrence has established her own production company. The Hunger Games actress, together with producing partner Justine Polsky, set up Excellent Cadaver.

The two have now signed a film deal with the independent film studio Makeready. According to Deadline, Lawrence and Polsky join forces with Makeready’s partners at Universal Pictures and Entertainment One to develop film projects.
“Brad Weston and Pam Abdy of Makeready are visionary producers with an incredible taste and history in supporting diverse and compelling stories,” said Lawrence and Polsky. “We are delighted to be able to collaborate with Makeready and look forward to this exciting partnership.”
Projects
Lawrence and Polsky collaborate on several upcoming projects, including Burial Rites, a film adaptation of the award-winning eponymous novel from 2013 by the Australian author Hannah Kent. The film is about Agnes Magnusdottir, the last woman to be executed in Iceland in 1830. The film is directed by Luca Guadagnino.
They also participate in Bad Blood, in which Jennifer will play the lead role as Theranos blood researcher Elizabeth Holmes. She was one of the youngest self-made billionaires ever to be in the spotlight, only to fall out of favor after her biotech company was subjected to an investigation. The film is directed by Adam McKay of The Big Short.
he 28-year-old Lawrence will also play Zelda Fitzgerald in the movie Zelda by Ron Howard, which she will produce together with Polsky. She also makes her directing debut with Project Delirium, which is about American government officials who tested the effects of chemical weapons on soldiers in the 1960s.
