Black Entertainment Television Network established BET Awards in 2001 in order to celebrate African Americans and the other minorities in music, acting, sports and some other fields of entertainment.
BET Awards are annually awards broadcasted live on the BET. BET Awards ceremony features different types of performances by different artists. The BET Awards Trophy repents 3 words – aspire, ascend and achieve. The trophy for BET was designed by Carlos “Mare139” Rodriquez a well known artists/sculptor.

The annual ceremony of BET awards 2016 was a wonderful event this year too. On Sunday June 26 the ceremony was held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Black-ish stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the TV event 2nd year in row. Many performances were made by different artists including Usher, Jennifer Hudson. Tributes to late Prince were paid by Sheila E., Stevie Wonder, The Roots and by more…..
