Will Smith starts working as a presenter for Netflix. The actor presents a documentary series on the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution, which includes that all American citizens are treated as equals.
In Amend: The Fight For America , on February 17 appears through the streaming service is examined what it means to be an American citizen.
Actors such as Samuel L. Jackson, Sterling K. Brown, Laverne Cox, Diane Lane, and Joshua Jackson read aloud speeches from famous “protectors” of the Fourteenth Amendment such as Martin Luther King and Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the six-hour series.
Comedian Larry Wilmore, who, like Smith, is the producer of the series, hopes that families will watch it together. “Everything we’ve seen happening in the US in recent years is about what black people and other marginalized groups have always wanted: to make sure that we are truly part of the US and have everything we are promised in the constitution.”
“I think it would be really great if Amend could help people better understand how special the bond between each of us and our country can be.”
