In just two months, James Cameron will return the legendary “Terminator” to the big screens, but for now the producer has introduced a new trailer for “Dark Fates”, which lets viewers understand: if the heroes fail, everything will come to an end.
In an interview with Deadline, Cameron explained why the success of the sixth franchise is so important:
We spent several weeks to understand what exactly we want to talk about. We rolled up our sleeves and found that our story is enough for three films. Therefore, if “Dark Fates” collect enough money at the box office, we will know where to go next.
There are plenty of hopes for success, because Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Edward Furlong are back in service. Moreover, according to Cameron, “Dark Fates” will continue the story of “Doomsday”, ignoring the other three pictures about the Terminator.
Cameron co-wrote the screenplay with David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight), Billy Ray (The Hunger Games), Charles H. Igley (Dexter), and Gale Ann Heard (Terminator: Doomsday). The director of “Deadpool” Tim Miller is responsible for the production of the picture.
