At least one person was killed in Kiev, Sunday March 20 in the evening, by a strike by the Russian army on a shopping center located in the district of Podilsky, announced the mayor of the Ukrainian capital. “One dead so far,” mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on Telegram , mentioning “enemy fire.” The BBC reports four victims.
A huge blast shook the city during the attack and a fire broke out on several floors of the Retroville mall. In the parking lot, several vehicles caught fire, the emergency services said on Facebook.
They released footage from a surveillance camera, showing a huge explosion and a mushroom-shaped cloud, followed by a series of smaller blasts.
