Usher and his wife Grace Miguel split up. That announced the couple Tuesday in a joint statement.
“After much thought, we decided together not to continue as a couple”, the two say in the statement from which TMZ quotes. “The love that we feel for each other will only increase if we continue with our lives.”
The 39-year-old Usher and 48-year-old Miguel, who was his manager, had been together for almost ten years and married in 2015. It reportedly went downhill with their relationship after several women accused the singer of having infected them with herpes.
Last year, stories came out of two women and a man claiming that they were infected with the virus by Usher. Their lawyer says that all three of them had unsafe sexual contact with Usher at some time after 2012.
The singer was married to Tameka Foster between 2007 and 2009, with whom he had two children.
