A trailer for the film “Death on the Nile” by Kenneth Branagh has appeared on the web, reports Deadline.
This is a screen version of the novel of the same name by Agatha Christie. The film tells about the next case of Hercule Poirot (Bran). The famous detective is among the guests on the fashionable motor ship “Karnak”, which goes on a cruise along the Nile. The detective cannot forget about his work – they kill one of the passengers. Poirot needs to be revealed which of his fellow travelers committed this crime.
In addition to Brana, Gal Gadot, Leticha Wright, Annette Bening, Rose Leslie and others starred in the film. One of the roles was played by Armie Hammer, implicated in a sex scandal. In the 2020 trailer for Death on the Nile, it had more screen time. Now it can be seen only in passing.
Brana’s new tape is a continuation of his previous film, based on another Christie’s book. The film Murder on the Orient Express started at the box office in 2017. Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and others played in that tape. Despite the star cast, the project received modest reviews from critics. Rotten Tomatoes has a 60 percent rating now .
Death on the Nile is slated to premiere in February 2022.
