Inspired by the famous Mustang, it is the first 100% electric car built by Ford. The Mach-E Mustang is pre-ordered today and will be delivered at the end of 2020.
At dusk in 2019, the famous Ford Mustang transforms into both an SUV and a 100% electric vehicle. This first Ford-made electric car officially unveiled today at a grand presentation hosted by British actor Idris Elba. The Mustang Mach-E is, in addition, the first product of the legendary American manufacturer to enjoy an online pre-order, open today. It is available in two versions. The first, so-called “propulsion” or rear-wheel drive only, has only one electric motor while the second, “all-wheel drive” that is to say with all four drive wheels, has two. With a maximum range of 600 kilometers, fully charged battery, the second version can reach a power equivalent to 337 horsepower (or 248 kW) . The Mustang Mach-E is able to pass the 100 km / h mark in six seconds . It will be available in six models when it is delivered at the end of 2020:
- The standard edition, propulsion for an average autonomy of 370 km, will be marketed at 48,990 euros;
- The First Edition (434 km range), all-wheel drive, € 69,500;
- The “Premium” (482 km) at around € 45,750;
- The “GT” (378 km) for about € 54,700;
- From 2021, the “California Route” (482 km) to € 47,380 and the “Select” (370 km) to € 39,690.
Several electric charging options
In addition to its capabilities, the Mustang Mach-E has several unique features: a 100-liter chest in the front, a touch screen in portrait mode in the center of the dashboard or an opening system using your smartphone. With the Bluetooth Phone as a Key system, the car recognizes your phone when it is nearby and automatically unlocks. If your car has no battery, keyboards – one on the driver’s side door and one on the dashboard – allow you to enter a code to unlock the vehicle. . In addition, the Mustang Mach-E comes with several battery charging options. FordPass software on the Sync program of the built-in tablet allows you, on the one hand, to automatically locate all Ford charging stations on the journey. On the other hand, the vehicle is accompanied firstly by a special charging cable at home to recharge 14 km of autonomy in one hour; and second, a Ford Connected Wallbox that can recover an average of 62 km of battery life in one hour.
