The Irishman by Martin Scorsese will be presented in October at the Rome Film Festival with the expected presence of the main actors in this film produced by Netflix.
“The participation of The Irishman at the Rome Film Festival is a great honor […] This is the most anticipated film of the year with outstanding actors,” said Monday the artistic director of the Antonio Monda festival.
Martin Scorsese, eight nominations for the Oscar for best director, brings together in this movie, among others, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. The world premiere will take place in September at the New York Film Festival before arriving in Rome on October 21st.
This film is about the mysterious disappearance of American trade union leader Jimmy Hoffa, played by Al Pacino, for whom Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, played by Robert De Niro, is suspected.
The film is an adaptation inspired by the book I killed Jimmy Hoffa by Charles Brandt and directed by screenwriter Steve Zaillian.
