Taylor Swift has definitively put an end to all the shows on her planned Lover Fest tour. Due to the ongoing corona crisis, new data is no longer being sought, the singer announced via social media .
“I’m terribly sorry, but I can’t reschedule the shows. (..) I’m very sad about it,” writes the 31-year-old singer. According to her, many fans kept their tickets after the concerts were canceled. “And I really hoped that we could find new dates.”
The corona virus makes it impossible to predict what the musical landscape will look like in the future, Swift continues. “I am very disappointed that I cannot see you. I miss you terribly and I cannot wait until it is finally safe to perform again.”
The Lover Fest tour included a total of seventeen shows in the summer of 2020 in the United States and Europe, among others. Swift, who has not been in the Netherlands since 2015, would skip our country.
