Actor Joe Lara (58), best known for his role as Tarzan in the TV series ‘Tarzan: The Epic Adventures’, and his wife Gwen Shamblin Lara (66) were killed in a plane crash last Saturday, US media reports.
“We are no longer looking for survivors at the moment”
Joe and Gwen are two of seven people who did not survive the plane crash that took place near Tennessee, USA. The plane crashed into Percy Priest Lake around 11:00 AM on Saturday. The other victims have since been identified and all were from Brentwood.
Rescue workers searched for survivors but had little hope. “Authorities initially searched by boat and in shallow water at the scene of the accident,” said a spokesman for the rescue services. “Later they performed diving operations. We are no longer looking for survivors at the moment.” Sunday afternoon, various airplane parts and human remains were found.
