British girl group Little Mix is splitting for the time being. Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall are taking an indefinite hiatus after ten years, they say on Instagram. The trio emphasizes that the split is not final.
“We think the time is right to take a rest so we can recharge and work on other projects”
“We want to let you know that after the Confetti Tour in April and May next year we will be taking a break. It’s been ten great years, a wonderful non-stop adventure, and we think the time is right to take a rest so that we can recharge and work on other projects,” write Perrie, Leigh-Anne and Jade. “We are not breaking up. Little Mix will continue to exist. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future.”

Little Mix was formed in 2011 when the trio, along with the last year departed Jesy Nelson, were put together in a girl group during their X Factor appearance. They became the first group to win the singing competition at the time.
In December last year, Nelson announced her retirement, partly because she was bullied online and no longer felt comfortable in the group.
