Simon Cowell cannot be seen as a jury member in the fourth season of the Israeli version of The X Factor . A spokesman for Reshet, the program’s production company, told Variety on Sunday that the 61-year-old Briton has “his own reasons” for not being on the jury of the talent show.
The recent violence between Israel and Hamas, according to Variety may be the reason that a line drawn through his participation in the show. The recordings are scheduled for this summer.
Cowell signed a contract for the Israeli version of The X Factor at the end of last year . This was his first contract outside the United Kingdom or the United States. The presenter was then recovering from a bicycle accident in which he had broken his back in several places.
This year, the program selects for the first time the Israeli entry for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Italy. Netta Barzilai, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for Israel in 2018, is on the jury.
