The American version of the children’s program ‘Sesame Street’ has been used to promote corona vaccinations. Well-known characters such as Elmo and Oscar the Grouch Monster collaborated on a video from TV channel CNN to inform young viewers about the jab. Other dolls have announced on Twitter that they have been vaccinated.
“You might get a sore arm and get a little tired, luckily there is”
In the United States, children between the ages of 5 and 11 can be vaccinated against the corona virus since last week. For that reason, together with the Sesame Street faces, children were explained what vaccination means.
At least the characters learned something from that, they say on Twitter. “I had the Covid-19 vaccine today. My wing feels a little sore, but it gives my body the extra protection it needs to keep myself and others healthy,” writes Big Bird, Pino’s yellow American brother. Bert and Ernie, Grover and Elmo write that they are happy that they now know more about vaccinations.
I got the COVID-19 vaccine today! My wing is feeling a little sore, but it’ll give my body an extra protective boost that keeps me and others healthy.
Ms. @EricaRHill even said I’ve been getting vaccines since I was a little bird. I had no idea!

Oscar says that he is disappointed to hear that people grumble less because of the vaccine. “You might get a sore arm and get a little tired, but luckily there is.”
Well this stinks. Apparently, the COVID-19 vaccines won’t make you feel grouchy at all! That’s what @KizzyPhD said at today’s town hall, anyway. You might get a sore arm and feel tired, so at least there’s that.
