Tennis player Serena Williams continues to inspire women to live in mental and physical harmony – in the latest issue of Аllure magazine, the 37-year-old athlete appeared on the cover and told in an interview about her understanding of beauty.
In the fall of 2017, Serena married the founder of Reddit Alexis Oganyan and first became a mother – she gave birth to a daughter, Olympia. In a conversation with Allure, Williams stated that success in different areas of life is directly related to self-confidence.
How the family helped her to maintain self-esteem and self-love in the harsh atmosphere of public criticism:
My sister Venus and I, having become successful, were not afraid to wear pigtails and be dark-skinned. Mom brought us up confident women, taught us to believe in our strength and be proud of the heritage of our ancestors, hair, figures. She definitely had to teach us this, and I also want to teach my daughter.
That Serena is ready to tell her daughter Olympia about beauty:
When I tell her that she is beautiful, I will explain that she is beautiful internally. To give is beauty. To be kind and modest is the highest beauty.
