NEW YORK (Reuters) – American tennis star Serena Williams has again reached the final battle of the US Open. With ease she defeated Anastasija Sevastova from Latvia in the semi-final: 6-3 6-0.
Playing for more than an hour at Arthur Ashe Stadium was enough for Williams to take a step closer to her seventh title in the Grand Slam tournament in New York. Her opponent in the final is the winner of the game between the American Madison Keys and the Japanese Naomi Osaka.
The 36-year-old Williams still chases on her 24th Grand Slam title, reaching a level with Australian record-holder Margaret Court.
