Three years after their breakup, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck filed the papers for their divorce.
TMZ reports that the actors did not have to hire a lawyer in the end. Garner wanted to go to a private judge early this month to speed up the process.
The official documents, dated 9 October, state that the actors will receive a shared custody of their three children. In addition, they have agreed to visit a therapist every month, at least for the next six months.
Ben Affleck said at the beginning of this month that he is still struggling with his alcohol addiction after having spent 40 days in a clinic. Garner, in turn, announced that she wanted the divorce before the end of this year.
