Russia reuses hypersonic missiles against military targets in Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defense reports the elimination with precision weapons of a special operations training center that housed mercenaries.

The Russian Defense Ministry has reported a number of missile attacks, including hypersonic missiles, against various military targets in Ukraine, where Moscow has been conducting a special military operation since February 24.

Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov reported at a morning press conference that the Russian military had returned to using Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, whose use in the Ukraine conflict was first announced on Saturday.

In addition, the Russian Navy launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea to destroy several Ukrainian Army armored vehicle repair shops.

Meanwhile, a large fuel and lubricant depot in the southern region of Nikolayev was destroyed by missiles launched from the Caspian Sea .

From the airspace of Crimea, an attack with Kinzhal hypersonic missiles was launched against the same depot that supplied the vehicles of the Ukrainian Army in the south of the country.

Precision weapons were also used to destroy a special operations training center in the Zhytomyr region in the country’s northwest, which served as a base for mercenaries coming to Ukraine to fight Russian forces. As a result of the attack, more than 100 soldiers and mercenaries were eliminated. were killed .

Since Saturday night, 62 military targets have been attacked in Ukraine, including three command posts, a multiple rocket launcher, two arms and ammunition depots, and 52 assembly points of military equipment.

A Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter, six drones, a Tochka-U tactical missile were shot down, and six Bukovel mobile electronic fighting systems were destroyed by artillery fire.

Since the start of the special military operation, a total of 207 drones, 1,467 tanks and other armored vehicles, 148 multiple rocket launchers, 573 field artillery pieces and mortars, and 1,262 special military vehicles have been destroyed.
