Rose McGowan has to sell her house to pay for her legal battle against Harvey Weinstein. That was what the actress told Tuesday at the presentation of her upcoming reality show Citizen Rose.
McGowan was one of the first to comment on Weinstein’s sexual misconduct. Meanwhile, the former studio boss is accused by more than seventy women of sexual abuse, ranging from intimidation to rape.
At the presentation of her show Tuesday, the Charmed star refused to pronounce the name of Weinstein. She calls him “the monster” or “HW”. The name of the film producer will not be mentioned in the program itself.
The outspoken actress, who had previously dressed up the action in which guests of the Golden Globes dressed in black in protest against sexual violence called “Hollywood Bliss”, said that she knew nothing about the Time’s Up initiative of 300 Hollywood women. She said not to believe that the change will begin with those in power within Hollywood.
