A judge has issued a contact order against singer Ricky Martin (50). This is confirmed by the police in Puerto Rico to AP. It is unclear who applied for the ban and why. The rumors in local media are that the singer is guilty of domestic violence. Ricky responds via social media.
“I will respond through the judicial process with facts and the dignity that characterizes me”
In a tweet, Ricky Martin said the restraining order against him was based on “completely false allegations.” “I will respond through the legal process with facts and the dignity that characterizes me.”
Because it is a legal matter, Ricky says he cannot make a comprehensive statement at this time. “I am grateful for the countless messages of solidarity and I receive them with all my heart.”

The applicant for the restraining order is said to have dated Ricky for seven months. After the break, two months ago, the singer would have stood on the doorstep of his or her house a number of times without being asked. The alleged victim would fear for his or her safety. That would indicate that it is in any case not about Ricky’s husband Jwan Yosef, with whom the singer has been married for five years and has four children.
A spokesman for Ricky tells American media that the allegations that led to the contact ban are incorrect and are fabricated. “We are confident that when the real facts in this case come out, Martin will be fully vindicated.”
