A statue of Marilyn Monroe and her famous drapery white dress are missing in Hollywod and the Los Angeles police have opened a proper investigation, with fingerprinting and neighborhood investigation, to find the trace of the star.
This statue, which represents the scene pulled cult film The Seven Year Itch ( The Seven Year Itch ) (1955), adorned the top of a small kiosk located at the beginning of the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, a popular tourist monument.
According to the authorities, a witness saw a man climb the structure in the night from Sunday to Monday and use a saw to remove the statue of Marilyn.
Using a telescopic ladder provided by firefighters, police experts went to the crime scene to take fingerprints, but no inquiry had been held on Tuesday.
Dubbed Ladies of Hollywood, the booth in question is built on pillars representing four iconic actresses of the film industry from various cultures (Mae West, Dorothy Dandridge, Anna May Wong and Dolores Del Rio).
