Miley Cyrus, 29, has been charged over a photo she posted on Instagram last year. Paparazzo Robert Barbera says the singer shared the image he made of her on social media without his permission.
The photographer is suing her for copyright infringement, according to Bloomberg news agency. He demands compensation.
According to Robert, his photo caused Miley to gain more followers on Instagram and also increased interest in her music. His photo has therefore earned her money, the photographer concludes.
Robert has previously sued other artists for using his photos, but the cases against Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa and Justin Bieber ultimately fell through.
