Pamela Anderson (54) will soon take the stage on Broadway for the first time in her career. The ‘Baywatch’ actress can be seen in the Chicago performance from April 12, entertainment website ‘Deadline’ reports Monday.
Pamela takes on the role of Roxie Hart, a showgirl who ends up in prison when she kills the man she’s having an affair with. In the original 1975 performance, this role was played by Gwen Verdon, while Renée Zellweger played the character in the 2002 film.
In a comment, Pamela says that playing Roxie Hart is “a dream come true”. The actress can be seen until June 5 at the Ambassador Theater on Broadway in New York.
