Olivia Rodrigo (18) is according to Billboard the Woman of the Year 2022. The singer will be honored on March 2 at the Women in Music awards gala of the American music magazine.

The American Olivia broke through last year with her songs Drivers License and Good 4 You , which became worldwide hits. Her debut album SOUR was also well received.
“Her talents as a storyteller and songwriter have made Olivia one of the most authentic and exciting new artists to hit the scene in years,” said Billboard’s Hannah Karp. “She has achieved absolutely incredible success for a debut artist. We are excited to celebrate her unique voice and the huge impact she has had on fans around the world in such a short time.”
As Woman of the Year, the young singer follows in the footsteps of big names such as Beyoncé, Madonna and Lady Gaga. Taylor Swift is the only one to receive the title twice, in 2011 and 2014. Last year, Cardi B was voted Woman of the Year by the music magazine.
