Fans of show business stars sometimes forget that they are ordinary people with their own psychological and physical problems. And only when some celebrity starts talking about his illness, do the fans sincerely worry about the life of their idol. Nick Jonas recently frankly talked about how he lives with diabetes.

The musician published a post on Instagram, in which he described in detail his struggle with this common disease. “13 years ago I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. In the photo on the left – I am a few weeks after this news. I was very thin, weighed only 45 kg, because the blood sugar level was high. In the photo on the right – I am now, healthy and happy. I lead a good lifestyle, play sports, eat normally and control sugar levels. My every day is subject to the fight against this disease, and I am very grateful to my family and my beloved girl for support. Never let others stop you from living your life. Thanks to all my fans for their kind words and support. It means a lot more to me than you think. Love you, ”wrote Jonas.

13 years ago today I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The picture on the left is me a few weeks after my diagnosis. Barely 100 pounds after having lost so much weight from my blood sugar being so high before going to the doctor where I would find out I was diabetic. On the right is me now. Happy and healthy. Prioritizing my physical health, working out and eating healthy and keeping my blood sugar in check. I have full control of my day to day life with this disease, and I’m so grateful to my family and loved ones who have helped me every step of the way. Never let anything hold you back from living your best life. Thank you to all my fans for your kind words and support. Means more than you know. Love you all. #grateful #diabetes #livebeyond #fbf
