The third season of Marvel series Daredevil that came out on Netflix this fall is the last. The streaming service does not continue with the series around the blind superhero.
Daredevil was part of the The Defenders universe of Netflix, which included Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. In 2013, the platform announced the development of four separate series about these superheroes, and a special series in which they met. In the past months the streaming service also stopped with Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
As with previous cancellations, Netflix leaves open the possibility of a return of the character. “Although the series has ended on Netflix, the three existing seasons will remain available in the coming years,” the company said in a statement to American media. “The Daredevil character will live on in future Marvel projects.”
