Netflix starts from the Broadway musical 13 , the start of the career of Ariana Grande, making a family film with new music by Jason Robert Brown, reports Deadline .
The streaming service will film the story of teen Evan, who moves from New York to a small village in the American state of Indiana. There he meets the popular cheerleader Charlotte. Charlotte was performed in the original musical on Broadway in 2008 and 2009 by singer and actress Grande, in her acting debut at the age of fourteen.
Composer Brown won several Tony Awards, among others for the music of the musical The Bridges of Madison County . He also composed the music for the musical Honeymoon in Vegas , based on the film of the same name from 1992 with James Caan, Nicolas Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker.
When the film 13 will be seen via Netflix is not yet known.
