Neil Young plays on the debut single of his older brother Bob Young, according to the music video that the singer released on Wednesday.
78-year-old Bob wrote Hey America and was inspired by the US presidential election on November 3. “To all the old baby boomers, just do it,” said Neil’s Canadian-born older brother. “It’s not over until it’s over. And even then it’s not over.”
The older Young recorded the song with The Peterboroughs backing band. Brother Neil plays a harmonica in it.
The 74-year-old singer-songwriter also directed the music video together with his wife, actress Daryl Hannah, and Adam CK Vollick. “During the filming we took into account the corona virus,” Neil told Rolling Stone on Wednesday . “The scene in which we can all be seen without a mask actually consists of three separate shots.”
Neil himself released a previously unreleased version of Wonderin ‘on Wednesday . This is a live version from 1970 of the song recorded in the studio in 1983.

Around the American elections, Neil was critical of US President Donald Trump. The naturalized American singer-songwriter in January sued the president in August for not being pleased with his music being played at Trump’s campaign rallies. This particularly concerned his hit Rockin ‘in the Free World .
