Netflix is making a sequel to the movie ‘Murder Mystery’. Leading players Adam Sandler (55) and Jennifer Aniston (52) will return, the streaming service announced during a virtual event on Saturday.
Murder Mystery was a success for Netflix in 2019. In the first three days after its release, nearly 31 million households watched at least 70 percent of the comedy. That number rose to 73 million in the first four weeks.
The film is about a police officer (Adam Sandler) who finally treats his wife (Jennifer Aniston) to a promised vacation to Europe. On the plane, they are invited to a party on a billionaire’s yacht. That is less festive than expected, because a body is found and the couple is suspected of the murder.
The Murder Mystery story has not yet been revealed. It is also not yet clear when the film will be released.
