Asia Argento, the Italian actress and director who was one of the first to accuse Harvey Weinstein of sexually unacceptable behavior, would now have been accused of sexual assault.
She has given the man who accuses her a rather large sum of money, writes The New York Times on the basis of documents about the case.
It is the 22-year-old Jimmy Bennett, an actor and rock musician from Los Angeles. He states that Argento has sexually assaulted him in a California hotel room in 2013. He was 17 years old and Argento 37. In California, sex with minors is punishable.
The newspaper writes that Argento, one of the leading figures of the # metoo movement, paid Bennett 380,000 dollars (330,000 euros). She did not respond to multiple requests from the newspaper.
The documents, which were sent to The New York Times by an anonymous party , contain a selfie made in May 2013. On the photo Argento and Bennett are in bed together.
