With Halloween over, Mariah Carey (50) is ready for Christmas. The ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ singer declared the Christmas season open on Instagram on Sunday.

Mariah shared a video that starts in Halloween atmosphere. A scary man sneaks into her house and walks towards a door that says ‘not yet’. When he does open it, the singer in Christmas outfit is sitting in front of the Christmas tree in fake snow. She looks at her watch and then says, “The time has come!” on which her Christmas hit ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ begins. After that, the message “But let’s get through Thanksgiving first.”

‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ was released in 1994 and has made the chimney in the Carey house smoke well ever since. The singer wrote the song together with Walter Afanasieff, in 2017 The Economist calculated that the two had already generated about 60 million dollars in royalties so far.
