We have great news for you: in the near future a new version of the legendary film will be released on large screens, the main roles in which will go to women. In particular, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Margot Robbie joined the caste. The film for Disney will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who worked on previous parts of the franchise.
Note that the new project, which is currently under development, will not be a continuation of the classic series and has nothing to do with the restart of Pirates of the Caribbean, on which the creator of the Chernobyl series Craig Meyzin is working (and in which he will not take part Johnny Depp). According to the film’s screenwriter Christina Hodson, we are waiting for new characters and a new story.
