Lucy Hale is set to take the lead in the action-comedy film “F*** Mary Kill,” the latest collaboration between Lionsgate and BuzzFeed Studios.
Directed by Laura Murphy and penned by Ivan Diaz and Meghan Brown, the movie delves into the world of a true-crime enthusiast in Boulder, Colorado, who faces the challenging task of identifying which of her three romantic partners is a ‘f*ckboy,’ who’s marriage material, and who might be the notorious Swipe Right Killer, responsible for terrorizing the city and targeting her.
The cast of “F*** Mary Kill” includes Lucy Hale alongside Virginia Gardner, Jedidiah Goodacre, Brendan Moran, Samer Salem, Brooke Nevin, and Bethany Brown. The film, which completed production prior to the strike, is currently being marketed by Lionsgate at the AFM.
BuzzFeed Inc.’s Richard Alan Reid, Michael Philip, and Jason Moring are the producers behind “F*** Mary Kill,” building upon the previous success of their collaboration with Lionsgate and Lucy Hale on “Puppy Love,” which premiered on Amazon Freevee earlier in the summer.
Lauren Bixby, senior vp acquisitions and co-productions for Lionsgate, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “BuzzFeed Studios are the experts at delivering movies for their audience, and there are few stars like Lucy Hale who can move between comedy and thriller as effortlessly as she does. In ‘F*** Marry Kill,’ she brings those genres together for an incredibly entertaining movie that we’re excited to be bringing to audiences.”
