Kanye West has signed an agreement with Netflix for his own documentary series about his turbulent life, The Wrap reports Wednesday.
The series shows material from the past twenty years of West’s life. The musical video duo Coodie & Chike is responsible for the direction, after the two previously made video clips of West. According to sources, the singer would receive more than 25 million euros for the series, although American media was not confirmed.
West would have given Coodie & Chike permission to film him for years, without there being a plan for a docuseries at the time. Among other things, the death of West’s mother Donda is discussed, as well as the transition that the singer made to the fashion world and thus became very successful.
It is as yet unclear whether the much-discussedĀ divorceĀ of Kim Kardashian and West will also be portrayed.
