Judge James Burke on Friday approved the reunion of two indictments against the movie Moguls and gave them the green light to trade a pair of old predators of fresh sexual assault with new ones.
Weinstein pleaded not guilty to August. 26 for a new indictment to add new charges. Prosecutors then asked to have old versions of these charges dismissed.
Prosecutors say the new tariffs were necessary to lay the legal groundwork for the “Sopranos” actress Annabella Sciorra (shee-uh-uh) to testify about claims that Weinstein violated in 1993.
Weinstein case concerns allegations of other women. He denied all the charges of non consenting, sex. His trial is scheduled to begin Jan. 6.
